Hi, I'm Mike. In 2023, at the age of 51, I visited England's Lake District for the first time. Like many others before me, and no doubt after me, I was captivated by the regions beauty. I made a vow, when I returned South, that I would return one day.

Here we are, in early 2025, almost 2 years to the day, and I now live on the Cumbrian coast with my partner, her 2 daughters, a dog and cat. I have views of the Irish Sea from my living room, and Skiddaw from my kitchen. Now, after 9 months of settling in, I feel ready to go and explore, and to bring you images, not only of the Lake District, but of the surrounding areas. Images which I hope will capture your imagination for years to come.
